Belco Pharma Scholarship for PDM College of Pharmacy Students
PDM College of Pharmacy today announced scholarship for 2 academically strong but financially challenged students sponsored by Belco Pharmaceuticals. The scholarship will be awarded to two selected students on 4th April 2015. The guidelines for the scholarship are as follows:
Industrial/Educational Trip Organized By PDMCOP to Nasik and Mumbai
PDM College of Pharmacy organized industrial/educational tour to
Nasik and Mumbai for B. Pharmacy final year students from 9th to 14th
February 2015. During a weeklong tour, students visited two leading
Pharmaceutical industries producing variety of Pharmaceutical Products. A
team of 20 members including 18 students accompanied with two faculty
members had been for the industrial tour.
PDM College of Pharmacy Organizes Seminar cum Workshop on Interview Skills and Resume Writing
PDM College of Pharmacy on 9th January 2015 organized a seminar cum workshop called College to Career- It’s a job to get a Job. In a two hour long program co-ordinated by Pharma Buds, students from B. Pharma First to Final Year attended the event. The trainer for the program was Miss Arundati D. She works for a test preparation institute in Delhi and also works as a corporate trainer.
Pharma Buds Launches its Android App
PDM Pharma Buds, students community at PDM College of Pharmacy on Monday, 1 st December 2014 launched an Android App. This app will be a one stop solution to users for getting important updates from Pharma Buds and PDM College of Pharmacy. This app is browser like interface which contains direct and easy access to Pharma Buds blog updates, Facebook page updates, News from PDMCOP and Pharmacy related news from Times of India. This app is designed by Prabhsimran Singh, 2nd Year student at PDM College of Pharmacy.
National Pharmacy Week 2014 Celebrated with various events at PDM College of Pharmacy
PDM college of Pharmacy enthusiastically organized various events on the auspicious occasion of National Pharmacy Week-2014 on the theme “Responsible use of medicine-Role of Pharmacists”. The celebration formally started on 17th November with assembly of students at Seminar hall of college. The events organized during the weeklong celebration were Group Discussions, Logo designing competition, Poster making competition, Pharma Rally, Free Health checkup camp and survey. This pharmacy week has been more than a festival at PDMCOP.
International Students Day 2014 Celebrated
PDM Pharma Buds on 17th November 2014 organized a group discussion on “Sikshit Bharat Saksham Bharat”- Quality education for all as per recommended by All India Council for Technical Education. Twelve students from PDM College of pharmacy representing B. Pharm and M. Pharm participated in the event. The group discussion focused in improving the quality of Indian education and loopholes in Indian education policy.

World Pharmacists Day celebration ended on high note

PDM College of pharmacy on 25th September celebrated World Pharmacists day with various activities. On the day guests from various pharmaceutical sectors were present who shared their insights with students at PDMCOP. The program was emceed by Bijay Gautam, Founder Pharma Buds. Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Satish Katyal, President Rhotak District Chemist Association. He was joined on the dais by Guests of honor Mr. Gulshan Sethia, President Jhajjar District Chemist association and Mr. Tarseem Jain, Editor Pharma Paramarsh. Other guests were Mr. I D Aghi, Senior Pharmacist and Dr. Kailash Khanna , Member Haryana State Pharmacy council. Guests were welcomed by presenting floral bouquet by respected Principal of the college Dr. Hema Chaudhary followed by her welcome speech. All the guests highlighted the role of pharmacists in healthcare, Medicare and society. They inspired budding pharmacists to abide by pharmaceutical code of conduct and ethics. Other speakers included Mr. Abhijeet and Mrs. Geeta, Students of M. Pharma 1st Year (Pharmaceutics).
World Pharmacists Day 2014 to be celebrated at PDM College Of Pharmacy
PDM College of Pharmacy is celebrating World Pharmacist Day 2014 on Thursday, 25th September.
The theme of world pharmacists day 2014 as set by International Pharmaceutical Federation is:
"Access to pharmacist is access to health"
On this occasion PDM College of Pharmacy in collaboration with Pharma Buds is organizing a formal program with speakers from various other institutions and industries. As pharmacists play crucial role in improving health of people in every corner of the world, the program will highlight on the role pharmacists could play in uplifting the health of humankind. On the occasion principal of college Dr. Hema Chaudhary will felicitate guests for their presence and all the pharmacists for the role they play.
On the same occasion Pharma Buds is launching its monthly wall magazine- "Pharma Buds Bulletin". This magazine will be published on 15th of every month with articles, news and notices of pharma buds and info-graphics. This magazine will be a platform for students to write their review articles and get updates of recent progress in pharmacy world.
APTI Sponsored One-Day National Seminar to be held at PDM College of Pharmacy
PDM College of Pharmacy is all set to organize a one day national seminar sponsored by Association Of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) on the topic:
"New-Fangled Nano Drug Delivery: Future Fueling For Pharmacy to Treat/Fight Disease"
"Pulse Polio Campaign" successfully held

There are no any cases of polio reported in India since last few years. Ministry of Health is conducting oral vaccination campaign as prophylaxis for the disease at regular interval. The drug vaccinated orally contains a mixture of live attenuated polio virus strains of each of the three polio virus types. OPV produces antibodies in the blood to all three types of poliovirus. In the event of infection, these antibodies protect against paralysis by preventing the spread of wild poliovirus to the nervous system.
B.pharma third year students interacted with their alumni
Pharma Buds is building a network and getting in touch with college alumni. As a part of its program “Interaction with alumni” Pharma Buds on 21st February organized interaction of third year students with one of their alumni, Mr. Ashish Gulia. The motive behind organizing such interactions is to let graduate students know about hurdles on professional path from alumni’s experience and challenges they faced.
Ashish Gulia was bachelor pass out of PDM in 2008. After completion of his MBA he joined a private company as a member of Product Management Team (PMT) then he dropped this job to join a government job as Manager at Food Corporation India, Mumbai in 2012. In a 45 minutes session he highlighted that there are unlimited opportunities for a graduate in pharmaceutical world. He advised students to prepare themselves to stand tall and build communication skills along with academics. He discussed various opportunities a student can opt after his graduation along with possibilities and drawbacks of each fields. His suggestion for students wishing to join government job was to start with various government test preparation, building IQ and staying alert on current affairs.
He did not hesitated to share his contact details and assured that he will help students in building career in every possible ways. He suggested getting in touch with other alumni and asking for help so that student could be beneficial.
Pharma Buds is getting in touch with other alumni and trying to fix more sessions with them. Prior to this Pharma Buds has already organized one interaction with Miss Parul Lal on 7th Feb. She is currently working as Product Manager for a Delhi based pharmaceutical company.
List of selected Students for Volunteering in "Pulse Polio Campaign"
Pharma Buds is proud to announce that final list of volunteers selected for volunteering in “Pulse Polio Campaign” to be organized by Civil Hospital, Bahadurgarh has been prepared. These volunteers will get an opportunity to participate in this campaign and work in collaboration with hospital members in administering Polio drops. This campaign will be held from 23rd to 25th February 2014. Training and interaction for volunteers will be held on 21st February at college Seminar Hall at 10am. In this session volunteers will be instructed about their duty and responsibilities.

Pharma Buds Volunteering in Polio Campaign Bahadurgarh
Pharma Buds has joined hands with Civil Hospital Bahadurgarh in its yearly "Pulse Polio Campaign". Pharma Buds will send 14 volunteers from College for successful completion of the event.
Our volunteers will be given one day training followed by 3 day campaign.
